according to NASA NSSDC

probe Mariner 6 carried out UV scans of the deep sky and of comet
Kohoutek 1969b (C/1969 O1 according to the new comet nomenclature).
The only reference to these observations I can find is "Mariner 6
Measurements of the Lyman-Alpha Sky Background" by C. A. Barth

) but the paper does not mention cometary observations.
Can somebody refer me to a publication on cometary observations and
possibly provide me with a scan?
