Are you sure this is fact?  Did Frank Borman tell you that, or did you read 
it in JBIS?  Borman didn't mention seeing Belyayev in his book, which recounts 
his trip; or, did I miss that?

Gagarin: I am not sure what 'Zond 4B' means. Was this a previously
unreported Zond launch?
It means that this WAS the mission which went lunar distance, but in a 
direction opposite the moon.  There was evidence that Zond 4B had a severe problem 
at or just before injection out of earth orbit.  And, it was just a couple of 
weeks before Gagarin was reported dead!
