I think this might be a definition of "closed to the public" that really means "closed to anybody who does not pay the $700 registration fee."

As far as I know, this is a typical industry conference and anybody can attend as long as they pay the fee, which is ually pretty high.  You cannot simply walk off the street and get in free.
