[FPSPACE] Russian gov't authorizes funds for Mir

Let me respond to this by saying that I don't myself have high hopes that a
new core module for Mir is in the offing. However, there is a technical
solution to the problem that is not a fantasy, and that is a core module
based on a different design. There is no law that says that a new Mir core
module must be of the same design as the current core module. Perhaps Mr.
Manber is aware of RSC Energia developments that we don't know about. Or
perhaps the answer is in the various statements by various parties that are
swirling around in these very interesting times.
