Here's a theory: the "pilot time" is time IN the spacecraft. His later time on the parachute is to be added to that time. However, I doubt that the parachutist impact was instrumented, and would have to be measured by stopwatch, by an observer in an aircraft or the cosmonaut himself. That might account for the mention of a stopwatch in some of the early FAI records registration claims.
