Well, MirCorp has - to date - generated over $30 million cash that goes
directly to Energia for Soyuz/Progress construction. Another big chunk of
cash is scheduled for payment in November.

Given that MirCorp has recruited some large customers - Dennis Tito and NBC
- there is a reasonable chance that additional funds, beyond those already
invested, will be available in 2001.
MirCorp does not claim that any of this money will be used for ISS. Mr.
Manber's point - and this is one that NASA officials privately agree to -
is that providing cash for the Soyuz/Progress assembly line is a good thing
for ISS, since *no other money* is being channeled to Energia for
Soyuz/Progress construction.
