Logistically, this makes sense.
It would mean that he would be on the spare seat with the replacement crew
launched in mid-2001 and he would return 1-2 weeks later in the space seat
with the crew that is being replaced.
Otherwise he's up there for around six months or so.
MirCorp's continued survival permitting, of course.
