To follow-on from Rex Hall's posting earlier today ......

I am actually working on this report at present on the basis that if I can
get a lot of the material written already then come the beginning of the
New Millenium (the _true_ one, that is) I will be able to easily finish
the report, ready to have it available from the end of January next year.

The unknown will be the price, and that depends upon two things: one is
the length of the report and the other is the number of people interested
in buying a copy. The more that I know in advance are interested in
buying a copy the lower I can pitch the price. I know that this sounds
mercenary, but unlike Teledyne Brown and Kaman Sciences who were behind
Nick Johnson's reports I need to make a living out of my writing !

Anyway, Rex is letting me know people who respond directly him and I shall
be keeping details of any who respond directly to me, so that will give me
an idea of the number of people interested and thus what price to fix once
the report is finished.

One thing: this report is looking just at the CIS programme in 2000 (with
tabular details to fill the gap from Nick last report which was to the end
of 1994), rather than being a worldwide review.
