Dear friends and partners in space member,
I think I have come to the right place to ask some information on Russian
institutions in the space 'business'. As I subscribed to this mailing list
some years ago, a whole new world has opened.
But not everything is clear to me. I have a lot of questions and hope you
have the answers. I hope you will do some research for me if necessary.
What is the purpose of RAKA and RKA or is it the same and what do these
abbreviations stand for? I suppose RKA stands for Roesskije Kosmitsjekoje
Agentsvo. Is RAKA or RKA the Russian equivalent of the NASA? Is it correct
that RAKA no longer exists and became RKA? What is the full form of RSA or
doesn't that exist (it simply is Russian Space Agency?)? Does Russia have
multiple space agencies like Japan? Is Energia private or gouvernment, who
is responsible there? Is Interkosmos private or gouvernment?
Thanks for your time and looking forward to your very welcomed answers.
