Just the opposite. Baykonur has been cover name, and Tyuratam is
'real' name. But of course, nowadays Baykonur became official name and
it is used much more often than Tyuratam. Yet the railway station nearest
to the Zarya/Leninsk/Baykonur City is still called Tyuratam.
