Dear Sirs,

I have a small company called Nova Hobbies that produces flying scale model
rocket kits. I am interested in producing model kits of two Soviet re-entry
test vehicles: the BOR-4 lifting body and the BOR-5, which was a 1/8th scale
sub-scale replica of the Buran space shuttle orbiter.

To produce these model kits, I will need dimensioned drawings (including
sections) of the BOR-4 and BOR-5 vehicles. I will also need color
photographs and/or color descriptions of them, as well as the dimensions of
the lettering and logos that were applied to the vehicles. In the case of
the BOR-5, pre-launch photographs would be especially useful because the
recovered BOR-5 vehicles were quite charred. I have dimensioned drawings of
the full-scale Buran orbiter, but the BOR-5 test vehicles weren't 100%
identical subscale replicas of it (the simulated aft RCS thruster pods seem
to be somewhat differently placed on the BOR-5 craft than on Buran).

I will gladly reimburse you for copies of this material, and I will send you
samples of the kits when they are released. I have included my postal
address and the BOR-4 & BOR-5 launch dates below.

I would be most grateful to you for your help.

Sincerely Yours,

J. Jason Wentworth <gida@chugach.net>
