I think it is also interesting to note that the P6 element on STS-97 is
also one of the only surviving features (along with the cupola) of the old
Freedom station design. At a pre-mission briefing in Houston, the P6
program manager from the Glenn Center explained that except for the short
spacer structure on the end of the IEA section, P6 is identical to the
truss sections designed for Freedom.
