Police corruption in dealing with prostitution is endemic. The idea of using
any male dominated criminal justice system as a means of protecting women is
a serious error.These systems were basically designed to control women not
protect them.
All the money and resources being spent on corrupt and failing police
systems could be far better used on building organisations that include
migrant and trafficked women in their management.
