Dear Colleagues,

FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT OF PAN-AFRICAN CONFERENCE ON TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS, 22ND - 28TH FEBRUARY, 2001

As part of the African Strategies to combat human trafficking, Women Trafficking and Child Labour Eradication Foundation (WOTCLEF), a leading NGO in Nigeria in the area of Crusade Against Women Trafficking is organising a Regional Conference on Trafficking in Persons.

The theme of the Conference is Evolving an African Regional Initiative Against Trafficking. The Conference takes place between 22nd and 28th February, 2001at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, Nigeria.

Since human trafficking is a global problem, all our colleagues who are involved in the struggle against human trafficking from Europe, Asia, America and Australia are also expected to participate in the Conference. This is very important in the area of building the bridge across other regions to combat trafficking.

If you or your organisation is interested in participating or you want to link us with any Agency or Organisation that may be interested in ensuring the success of the Conference, do not hesitate to reach us.

Those who also want to present papers on their experiences and best practices can contact us. Your response and suggestions are quite welcome. Other details shall be forwarded in due course.

Yours,
