Prostitution racket in five-star
               hotels busted

               CRIME LOGOCrime Correspondent

BANGALORE: City Central Crime Branch sleuths raided a
posh hotel in Majestic area on Saturday and busted a
prostitution racket. A couple, wanted by police on charges of
running brothels in several places including five-star hotels
in
the city, were arrested along with three girls.

On a tip-off, the police team, led by Crime Branch ACP S.P.
Naik and Inspector J.A. Nowshad, raided several rooms in
the hotel and caught the three girls from Mumbai and the
               couple, Nirmala and Bharath.

The couple had been accused of selling girls to the children
of KAS officers two years ago in a five-star hotel on Race
Course Road. A case is pending in the Highgrounds police
               station.

Nirmala and Bharath escaped when police raided a house in
R.T. Nagar six months ago. They operated from several
residential localities and deluxe hotels in the city. Their
clientele comprised prominent businessmen, bureaucrats and
their children along with politicians, police said.
