SANAA, May 14 (Reuters) - A Sudanese man who worked at the morgue of Sanaa
University has been arrested in Yemen on suspicion of raping and killing
women and selling their body parts, university officials said on Sunday.
Security officials said the man, 45, was arrested on Friday and has so far
confessed to raping and killing two university students, one Yemeni and the
other an Iraqi woman. Authorities have found the two mutilated bodies, they
"Initial investigation showed he used to trade illegally in selling his
victims' body parts," one security official said.
He would not confirm reports by several university sources that the suspect
may have killed up to 16 women in a murder spree that started in 1996.
"The Sudanese man worked as a medical assistant at the morgue of the
unviersity's medical school. It seems he used to lure women students there,
rape them, kill them and then mutilate their bodies," one university source
