Subject: Employment Opportunity with GAATW
Global Alliance Against Traffic in Women (GAATW) is seeking a dynamic
person to
join its team as an Assistant Co-ordinator. The person will work in a
multi-cultural women's organisation located in Bangkok.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Co-ordinator in the general planning, implementation and
monitoring of programmes and projects.
- Assist the Co-ordinator in preparing project proposals and project
reports as
required by funding agencies.
- Assist in advocacy work at all levels. Communicate with national, regional
and international organisations working on trafficking in women and related
issues.
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation system for GAATW's
programmes
and projects.
- Oversee the general administration of the Secretariat.
- Liaise with network members of GAATW
- Co-ordinate programmes for staff development
Qualifications:
- Post-graduate level degree in a relevant social science discipline including
law
- At least 5 years of operational experience in addressing gender issue,
migration, human rights
- At least 3 years of experience in management, project co-ordination and
implementation
- Fluency in oral and written Thai and English, with the ability to write
analytically
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility and willingness to work overtime and to travel
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Good computer skills
