Caught in a SEX TRAP!
By Badrolhisham Bidin

THEY come in search of the proverbial land of milk and honey, where
jobs are plentiful and life a whole lot easier than the one they leave
behind.
It’s not that Malaysia disappoints, but the Filipinas who place their
hopes in dream
merchants who promise them respectable jobs as waitresses often find
that they are
victims of well-laid sex traps.
Smooth-talking job recruiters hold out the lure of
well-paying jobs and the good life
while plotting the exploitation of these women for
the flesh trade.
Reality is not a pretty picture. These women end up
confined in apartments, bars and
restaurants purely for the sexual pleasure of men
who pay for their services. But the
women don’t get a sen - it all goes to the
syndicates which enslaved them.
Yes, the ugly truth is that while the Philippines
is a recruiting ground for sex slaves,
Malaysia is one of the many centres in the world
for the trafficking of these women.
