Man sent to prison for smuggling woman
The Globe and Mail, December 6, 1999

A Toronto man caught smuggling a woman into the United States has been
sentenced in Buffalo to 22 months in prison.

Jamal Nasser Aziz, 37, admitted to driving a vehicle that had two people in
the trunk -- one of whom, Mina Betoor, was found bound and gagged -- over
the Rainbow Bridge last January.

Immigration officials also found Muhammad Wahid Nader, 30, of Toronto, in
the trunk. Mr. Nader has pleaded guilty to kidnapping Ms. Betoor and awaits
sentencing. AP
