Mary Robinson, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, submitted
an informal note to the Ad Hoc Committee, which is presently negotiating a
new international anti-trafficking protocol. You can read her Note, which
is available in all UN languages, at the following website:
http://www.ifs.univie.ac.at/~uncjin/dcatoc/4session/index.htm Note her
strong support for a definition of trafficking that focuses on the
elements underlying all forms of trafficking and her rejection of the term
"sexual exploitation." Ann Jordan
