It's a battle for stripper
By Tom Godfrey
Toronto Sun, Wednesday, April 7, 1999

Immigration officials are fighting to keep out a Romanian stripper
who's trying to get the Federal Court of Canada to allow her in to dance.

Her case is supported by the Adult Entertainment Association,
representing 83 strip clubs, which claims business is off 50% in the
Toronto-area because of a shortage of 3,000 dancers.

Loredana Silion, 22, filed a judicial review to the federal court
claiming Canadian officers in Bucharest were biased against her because she
was a stripper.

The Canadian embassy's third secretary, Terry David Brown, said Silion
didn't intend to come to Canada temporarily.
