I have addressed most of the rumours in your message and in particular the
fact that the project is not under investigation and nor has the EU
requested any repayment of the grant.
A simple challenge :
Name the Dutch organisation that were named as a partner in an application
without their consent.
You can't because there is no such organisation !
What really happened is someone who agreed to endorse the project fell out
with our organisation and withdrew her endorsement after the application has
been submitted. The reason for this was we wouldn't give in to her demands
to break links with two other Dutch colleagues that she accused without
proof of various misdeeds. She accused one of stealing from an EU project
and the other of running her pro-sex work organisation on behalf of a
We refused to get drawn into petty and unsubstantiated rumour-mongering. We
have never publically named this woman because we believe that it would
pander to the mean spirited nature she represents and we have always sought
to rise above the mean and petty.
We wish others would do the same. Establishing human and civil rights means
being able to rise above the hysteria, acting with equitable regard and
seeking the truth.
I am planning to visit Brussels to next week to finish with this affair once
and for all.
After that time we will name names.
