I think that people think of differences between the cleaning lady and the
prostitute because of our attitudes about sex. Both jobs use their bodies.
Some jobs emphasize the mental more than the physical body, but most
working class jobs require great use of the body.
It is interesting to me that the one thing women are not allowed to be is
sexual agents (even though we are seen as sexual objects). In the US, we
can't even show our breasts to nurse our infants because breasts are so
affiliated with the sexual.
I don't have the answers, I just ponder the contradictions.
