Rates are for dollars delivered outside Russia and Rubles delivered inside Russia without cross border physical transfer of currencies. This information is updated as required. The seven year history has been a steady decline from R40= $1 to its present level. The official exchange rate imposed my the Central Bank of Russia is considered over-valued by world currency markets. This trend is expected to continue. Recommended strategy when buying rubles for pay-roll or expenses of manufacturing investments in Russia is "just-in-time" to avoid exchange losses.

Dollars purchased on the MICEX in Russia at the offical RR5789 (July 21, 1997) rate are restricted dollars, delivered inside Russia, and are subject to government currency exchange regulations. Such dollars may be removed from Russia only in exchange for imports purchased or other approved transactions., Violations of regulations is subject to large fines.

Swap rubles for Dollars without physical cross-border transfer.

Whenyou deliver your rubles from your bank account in Russia to a bank account in Russia designated by USICEX, USICEX will deliver dollars to your bank account anywhere in the world.

• Step one: have your Russian bank send USICEX an e-mail to <russia@aa.net> or fax at 1 (425) 827-5528 which confirms the name of your account, signer's name, and amount on deposit which is proposed to be transferred. Please have them provide USICEX with their fax and e-mail address and name of party to communicate with at the bank
• Step two: Have the bank to which you want USICEX to deposit the dollars send USICEX an e-mail to <russia@aa.net> or fax at 1 (206) 827-5528 which confirms the name of the account, name of signer, account signer, banks e-mail and fax address street address and telephone and the name of the banker that handles your account.
• Payment for the rubles will be made by USICEX when deposit of the rubles to our specified accounts is confirmed. Payment is guaranteed by U.S. banks

Swap dollars for rubles:

USICEX will deliver rubles to your bank account anywhere in Russia first, based upon the guarantee of your U.S. bank to pay for them when deposit is confirmed.

• Step one: have your Western bank send USICEX an e-mail to <russia@aa.net> or fax at 1 (206) 827-5528 which confirms the name of your account, account number, signer's name, and amount of dollars deposit which is proposed to be transferred. Please have them provide USICEX with their fax and e-mail address and name of party to communicate with at the bank
• Step two: Have the Russian bank to which you want us to deposit the rubles send USICEX an e-mail to <russia@aa.net> or fax at 1 (206) 827-5528 which confirms the name of the account, name of signer, account signer, banks e-mail and fax address street address and telephone and the name of the banker that handles your account.
• Deposit of rubles will be made to your account first, subject to your bank's commitment to pay dollars for these rubles following the transfer.
