- My husband and I had the opportunity to visit
Russia this past June-July with the Friendship
Force. One of the "sights" that touched me was the
new Victim's Memorial [also referred to in English
as Folk's Tragedy] a new sculpture by Zurab
Tseretely in Poklonnaya Gora in Moscow. I'm
trying to find background information about the
sculptor, or the memorial itself. I'm preparing a
course on victims of World War II 9the Great
Patriotic War in Russia) and was facinated by this
memorial. We visited Moscow, Nizhni Novgorod
and St Petersburg and in Moscow and NN we
stayed with really great Russian families with
whom we will keep in touch as friends for a long
time to come. There were just wonderful to us. I'm
glad to come across this resource and appreciate
the efforts of all who make it possible. Jane Forster
