SAMTAVISI

Samtavisi church is situated in Kartli region of Georgia. It was built in the 11th century. In the 12th century there was a temple, where about 200 monks lived. In the 14th century, due to earthquake Samtavisi lost its old dome. In 15th century it was rebuilt by king of Georgia Alexander. Samtavisi has outstanding stone curved ornaments.
