The association was founded in 1996 to help hearing-impaired youth adjust to regular schools or attend institutes with special equipment. It arranges individual rehabilitation sessions for children with hearing problems, and provides advise and training to parents of deaf children. The group distributes literature about the medical, social, and psychological aspects of hearing disabilities to schools, parents, and youth.
