RUSSIA PLUS MEDIA / ROSSIYA PLUS MEDIA
Here is a list of Web sites, listservs and Usenet newsgroups for those interested in Russia or news media. This list is by no means exhaustive. You will generally find that once you start down a path, the path branches off to many interesting "side trips."

Please send your suggestions and corrections to glasnews@eskimo.com.

Russia plus media:

In and about Russia:

Searchers:

The Internet used to be thought of as the world's biggest library with all the books scattered helter-skelter on the floor. But Web searching programs allow you to find resources by typing in a keyword. In response, the programs sift through all the files in their memory and sends back a list of resources that match the keyword (or keywords). My favorite one is Lycos; other people swear by Yahoo or one of the others listed below. Yahoo includes a headline news service from Reuters.

Listservs:

Listservs help subscribers exchange information via e-mail, something like a bulletin board. When you send the specified message to the listserv address (using your first name and last name in the message), you become a subscriber and receive further instructions on how to use your listserv. Every message you send to the "list" address (for example, e-europe@pucc.princeton.edu) is broadcast to every subscriber.
