  • FISH FABRIQUE: Contemporary rock and pop music. Open Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, 7 pm - midnight; Friday and Saturday, 9 pm - 5:30 am. Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, 5,000 R; Friday and Saturday, 10,000 R. 10 Pushkinskaya Ulitsa, Apt. 15 (4th floor). Metro Ploshchad Vosstaniya. On exiting, turn left, cross Nevsky Prospect. Pushkinskaya is the first street on your right. No sign, but look for the New Academy of Fine Arts sign outside.

  • GORA CLUB: Live rock concerts. Open Saturday-Sunday, 8 pm - midnight. 10,000 R. 153 Ligovsky Prospect. One tram stop from the Ligovsky Prospect Metro. The club located on the corner of Obvodnovo Canala Naberezhnaya (Embankment) and Ligovsky Prospect, in the former Sever Cinema. Enter from the embankment.

  • KVADRAT JAZZ CLUB: Traditional and mainstream jazz. Open Tuesday, 8 pm -11 pm. 5,000 R. 10 Pravdy Ulitsa. Metro Vladimirskaya. On exiting, turn left, follow Bolshaya Moskovskaya (turns into Pravdy Ulitsa), five minute walk. Concerts are held in the foyer.

One tram stop from the Ligovsky Prospect Metro. The club located on the corner of Obvodnovo Canala Naberezhnaya (Embankment) and Ligovsky Prospect, in the same building as the Gora Club. Enter from the corner.

  • ROTTERDAM CLUB: Dance, reggae, rock and roll. Open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 7 pm - 2 am. Cross Veteranov Prospect and take any bus or trolley bus, two stops south. The club located in the same building as large food store, second floor.

  • TaMtAm CLUB: Hardcore rock'n'roll and jazz. Live music only. Open Thursday-Saturday, 8 pm - 11 pm. 5,000 R. 49 Maly Prospect (Vasilevsky Ostrov). Metro Vasileostrovskaya. Turn left on exiting the metro, at the first intersection turn right, and go one block. Cross the street, turn left and take any trolley bus two stops, or walk about ten minutes. Club is on the corner of Maly Prospect and the 16th Liniya, in the four-floor building. No sign, but the entrance is right on the corner.

  • VEGA'S LIVE: Rock concerts, raves. Open Friday-Sunday, 6 pm - midnight. Friday, Sunday, 10,000 R; Saturday, 15,000 R. 32 Kommuny Ulitsa. Metro Ladozhskaya.

  • WILD SIDE: Rock and pop live shows, all-night disco. Open Friday and Saturday, 10 pm - 5:30 am; Sunday, 7 pm - 11 pm. Friday, 25,000 R (men), 15,000 R (women); Saturday, 25,000 R; Sunday, 10,000 R. 12 Bumazhnovo Canala Naberezhnaya. Metro Narvskaya. Turn right on exiting, take the third street on the right. Go to the bridge, but turn right just before you cross it. Walk along the embankment (two minutes), club located in a low building to the left of the archway. No sign, but look for parking spaces in front of the building (listen for music). Tel: 186-34-66.
