Attire from two local companies will be modeled, Ulita and the Dawn of May First. Fashions and accessories by talented young designers and artists will also feature strongly.
Leather bracelets, necklaces and earrings, printed and batik kerchiefs and scarves will be modeled.
The fashion show is also a fair. As the models glide past, the public is welcome not merely to admire, but to stop the models and purchase any item they like on the spot. Also on sale will be the artwork adorning the hall.
In addition to evening wear and casual ensembles, the show will include intimate apparel by the German firm Passia, and fashions for full-figured women. A number of cosmetics companies will also participate, offering free testing to guests.
This month's show will also feature "The Horrors of Petersburg Fashions," a tongue-in-cheek retrospective of garments worn by the women of Petersburg in the past in the mistaken belief they were fashion items.
