SYNOPSIS
An 11 year career with BP Petroleum Development Limited, initially in Production
Technology Branch, at BP Dyce and then Enhanced Oil Recovery Branch. During the
latter was seconded to Reservoir Engineering to pursue reservoir simulation and
streamtube modeling studies on secondary and tertiary recovery. In BP UK Land
Operations Branch at Eakring, gained experience in; logging and log analysis,
well testing and pressure transient analysis, and was responsible for workovers
and completions, stimulation techniques including acidization and hydraulic
fracture treatments, fracture containment analysis, treatment design and post
treatment pressure analysis. Experienced and trained in sour well operations.
Career development continued as a Consultant Petroleum Engineer which commenced
with an 8 month extended contract with Amoco (UK) Exploration, performing scale
prediction modeling and evaluating other reduced well productivity/matrix damage
mechanisms, remedial treatments and damage inhibition methods. Numerous
international contracts followed, in both hostile and friendly environments
covering a wide diversity of operational and project studies, including
production optimization and environmental impact control.

mechanisms were determined and recommendations submitted to reverse created
damage and stimulate well to full potential. Placement methods were decided and
programme and recipes formulated. Final report submitted to Elf management.
