MAIN RESEARCH DIRECTIONS
The institute develops a general theoretical problem
"plant-soil". To solve this problem it was necessary to:
- study the role and functioning of soil cover in the biosphere
(soil as the main component of the biosphere and the product of man's
economic activities, the problem of protection and rising of fertility
of soils).
- search for completely new approaches for soil protection from
fertility destruction, which takes place due to uncoordinated
agrobiological methods.
- develepment of theoretical basis of photosynthesis, soil sience,
and metabolic fluxes, connecting them;
- creation of model biotechnological systems of plant-soil
complex;
- studies of soil-ecological and physiological basis of
agrocenoses bioproductivity control.
- agrochemical studies of ionic fluxes and cycles in agrocenosis.
In connection with that five scientific departments have been
created at the Institute: photosynthesis, physiology and biochemistry
of plants, agrochemistry, experimental soil sience and ecology
departments. Each of these deparments works on it's own concrete
problems.
