Altai is located approximately 3000kms to the east from
Moscow.
Everything
about Altay, the region
located approximately between 50 and 54 degrees of northern latitude
and 82 and 90 degrees of eastern longitude on the border between
southern Siberia and Mongolia.
Barnaul is the
main city. Russian settlers founded first forests there in
1618-1719, but only in 1756 Altai became the part of the Russian Empire.
Now, this region is eminent as paradise for tourists, back-packers,
kayakers who are attracted by Belukha mountain, Teletskoe lake
and other famous
lakes and
rivers. The beauty of the region natural resorts is well represented by
