Khabarovsk is one of the largest industrial, transport, administrative
and cultural centers in the Russian
Far East. The city is conveniently located along Amur river
on the border with China. Khabarovsk was founded in 1858 by descendants
of Russian settlers and pioneers who explored
Siberia from XVII century. Today Khabarovsk is a well-built
modern city with a population around 700 thousands. The city's 5 large
districts stretch 45 km along the banks of the Amur River.
Khabarovsk links 3 major transport routs: the
Trans-Siberian railway, the
Moscow - Khabarovsk airline and the large port.
