Thanks for this great site. I wish I had a faster modem
so I could visit more of your pictures.

I also wish I knew about this site before I went to Siberia.
There's so much useful information here.

Also, thanks for the links to my Siberia pages.

Message from guest...
The picture that you have listed as the Hermitage is actually
the Academy of Sciences, across the Neva from the Hermitage.
I love your stuff, I actually own a wonderful photo of the
Peter the Great (Bronze Horseman) statue in St.Pete's taken at sunset -
the statue is silhouetted against the sunset. If you'd like to include it,
let me know. I'm also looking for an ex pat position with a western
company in Moscow, so please advise me of any web sites that you know
of that might help me out. Oh, and please also respond if you know
of a web site that carries the Moscow Times.
Thanks - Greg Hunter

Reply: The picture listed as the Hermitage is provided not by RUSphoto, but by another server (check the link) on their page about Russia. As for your photo of the Bronze Horseman, I will greatly appreciate if you will submit this or any other photos to page about St.Petersburg. Thank you for comments. Good luck in your job search !

As I study Russiology, I was very glad to have found your site!
I only have one problem: I don't seem to be able to receive any
messages in Cyrillic. Is there something I can do about it?

Reply: please make sure your e-mail software allows 8 bits (but not only 7).
If these details are mysterious for you, please ask your local administrator.
As for me, whenever I have problems with reading/typing cyrillic letters,
I stop by one of the following sites: S.Naumov or J.Labanovski or V.Maslov's site.
These sites provide extensive information about the russification of different types
of computers and software. They also contain (or link to) archives of different cyrillic
fonts. So, please walk around their pages.
Thanks for comments. Mikhail.

Your page is a really wonderful resource that we will add a link
to on our own Russian resources page (which will be ready shortly).
In checking out our links, howeverk, I notice that all the links
to Sergei Viznyuk are dead. Has he (and his pictures) moved?
