In "Family Chat Corner", we invite our friends to publish information on "life" in our countries. This can be anything from how we celebrate holidays, spend time with family and friends, etc. Andrey and Masha Sebrant, from Moscow, are providing a monthly series on life in their family and community - we are so hopeful that others will do the same!


The St. Petersburg Press Culture and Lifestyle Guide contains information on food, stores, transportation, religious services, museums, business and travel, performing arts, music, and living in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Siberia is the one of the largest and often most misunderstood regions of Russia. Information about this emerging "lost" region collected on the new Siberia: Culture - Economy - Business server contains social, cultural, historical, geographical, business and economic facts.

Nate Lipsen and his wife, Deb, provide a fascinating (and beautifully illustrated) journal of their recent trip to Siberia). They are returning in May, 1996 and invite you to join them.

The Creative Kids in Kamchatka Home Page is comprised of 5th and 11th grade students from the Far East Russian penninsula, Kamchatka. They have invited all to join them to become International Classmates for the '95-96 school year. Their teacher, Jon Lauritzen is from Minnesota and he will be teaching English language and also coordinating this Internet Project.

Russian Chronicles is a unique experiment in realtime, online, interactive photojournalism began September 11th, 1995 in Vladivostok, Russia, when Contact Press Images' photographer Gary Matoso and writer Lisa Dickey embarked upon a 5,000 mile, two month journey across the Russian heartland. Follow Gary and Lisa's adventure and even participate in their "first of its kind" project, which is being co-produced by FocalPoint f/8 along with World Media Network in Paris, France.

World Vision International, Russia, Belarus & Ukraine is a nonprofit, Christian humanitarian agency which works in over 65 countries - including several republics of the NIS. This server concentrates on their mission in Russia, Belarus & Ukraine.

YFU: Youth For Understanding International Exchange Program is a long-standing program which facilitates exchanges for high school and young college students. YFU has exchanges with a great number of countries including Russia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Slovakia, and Ukraine.
