AIFS Faculty Development Grants


AGENCY: American Institute for Foreign Study

PROGRAM: Colleges and universities with a minimum of six participants enrolled in an AIFS summer program are eligible to receive an institutional stipend to enable a faculty member to accompany the group as the faculty coordinator. Program locations include London, Leningrad, Salamanca, Cannes, Paris, Beijing, Florence, Guadalajara, and Berlin. Multiple country programs also are offered, including Eastern Europe. A teaching abroad option is available, as is assistance for enrolling the group in the summer program. Interested faculty at two- and four-year institutions of higher education are encouraged to contact the office for a program brochure.

MONETARY SUPPORT: Stipend includes round-trip air transportation, accommodations, meal plan, and time for research and study for the faculty coordinator.
