PROGRAM: The Soros Foundation will assist U.S. institutions that wish to invite Soviet scholars, scientists, and artists to the U.S. to lecture, attend a conference, perform, or take a study course. Grants will cover transportation to the U.S. and will pay a per diem to the Soviet guests. Host institutions are expected to provide accommodations and hospitality. Visits are to be held to a maximum of 3 months.
RESTRICTIONS: Student exchanges do not qualify for support.
