PROGRAM: Grants are awarded for intensive in-country language study in preparation for future research in the countries of Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Yugoslavia, and non-Russian languages of the Soviet Union.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be U.S. citizens preparing for advanced research projects. Normally, applicants should be faculty members or graduate students affiliated with an institution of higher learning. Others should inquire about eligibility.
MONETARY SUPPORT: International travel, tuition for courses, and a maintenance allowance
