We are proud to alert you that perhaps the largest conference on the RUSSIAN FAR EAST, ever to take place in the United States, will occur in Seattle, Washington between the 5-7 June, 1995.
The conference will be open to all interested participants and will discuss a wide variety of themes, including (but not limited to) transportation, customs, forest products, commercial fisheries, telecommunications, trade infrastructure, agribusiness, finance, energy, mining and environment.
Co-timed with the Pacific Partnership Conference will be the first official meeting of the #U.S. West Coast-Russian Far East Ad-Hoc Working Group on Commercial Collaboration.# This Group, formed under the U.S.-Russia Business Development Committee, co-chaired by U.S. Commerce Secretary Ron Brown and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Davydov, will host deliberations between the U.S. Government/ U.S. West Coast state-level representatives, together with their Russian federal and regional official colleagues. We expect that a wide array of U.S. Government agencies, especially those involved in trade and investment issues, will be represented.
As soon as a more concrete agenda is available, we will attempt to make that available. In the meantime, if you are interested in registering for this important conference, please contact:
