The Open Stock Company "Pischevic" is constructing a city integrated food complex which includes a processing plant producing a variety of soft drinks based on local wild berries, e.g., cranberries, red bilberry, cedar nuts, wild rose hops and others.
Pischevic was founded by the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug Administration, the Nizhnevartovsk City and Regional Administrations, a number of local large industrial enterprises including oil/gas companies, and Western Siberian commerical bank. The proposed phytodrink was developed by the scientific research center of the Russian Agricultural Academy and has been approved by the Russian Federation Health Ministry and has received special certification carrying with it the right to be sold anywhere in Russia. The phytodrink has a tonic effect and is to be used for medicinal and preventive treatment. Customers are medical organizations, drugstores and the general population. Production technology for a changing assortment of drinks, and also bottling or packaging is needed. The basic facility is about 70% ready. To go into operation in the first half of 1996, 8 billion roubles of investment are needed, about five for construction and installation and about 3 for equipment. The vacant production area is about 3,000 square meters, presentinng a good opportunity for foreign partners to use the vacant space for producing other kinds of food or beverages.
