PET-B02 Ready to Diliver to Anhui

Another new camera system of Positron Emission Tomograph (PET)-- PET-B02--has been manufactured and tested recently at this institute following the first one--PET-B01--completed in September 1992.

Containing 1472 pieces of BGO crystal, PET-B02 takes samples with its four annular detection arrays. This new set, compared with the first one, has many improvements and advantages in reliability and stability, its spatial resolution and time resolution are as good as 6 mm and 6 ns respectively. For image processing, Windows interface is adopted and man-machine conservation is realized in Chinese, which makes things much more convenient for domestic users.

PET-B01 has been running properly at the China-Japan Friendship Hospital in Beijing for more than three years, while PET-B02 will be installed in the Anhui Tumour Hospital.
