Subject: Seeking NIS Specialists
AccessAsia invites submissions to its online database of scholars
AccessAsia, a leading global clearinghouse of information on contemporary
affairs in Asia and the former Soviet Union, invites specialists to submit
information on their expertise, publications, and current research for
inclusion in an online and printed database of several thousand scholars,
government officials, and businesspeople.
In particular, we are seeking to expand our listings in the following

Specialists on economics, business, politics, foreign policy, security,
sociology, and other policy-related fields in Central Asia, the Caucasus,

independents states and worldwide.
Experts in the newly independent states who focus on other regions of Asia.
As a global directory, AccessAsia has become an invaluable resource for
academic institutions, research organizations, government agencies, and

and professionals in the field of Asian affairs more visible and accessible
to one another and to those outside the field who quickly need to locate
relevant expertise.

Hello, I'm Vyacheslav Kovalyov. I'm representing a newly formed
organization called SBAKR (Student Bar Association of Kyrgyz Republic).
Our organization was formed about three months ago. Now it consists of
three committees: Social, Conference and Information. Initially it
based on a mere enthusiasm, and now we are working in collaboration
with ABA CEELI, UNHCR and other respected organizations. We have
created a Translation Subcommittee, headed by me,which is doing
translations of newspaper articles. Also we recieved a grant from the
UNHCR for establishment of a refugee bureau, where those, who refused a
refugee status could get all necessary social and judicial
consultations. All the more our organization, coordinated by the IFES,
created a project, devoted to the promotion, and training of a new
election code in secondary schools. We also have some more projects
and lots of ideas. We would highly appreciate any suggestions. Do not
hesitate to ask questions- I would be pleased to answer them.
Sicerely,
