Subject: Modern Russian poetry page extended
I recently added lots of new stuff to my homepage
http://solar.rtd.utk.edu/~alexey/home.htm
which is devoted to the modern Russian literature.
Now you can find there almost every modern poet from one of three biggest
Russian cities. Though the collection wants a system yet, I flatter
myself that already it is the best one compiled by a native speaker in the
Internet. If you can show me a better selection beyond Friends&Partners,
you are welcome to contact me; also contact me if you need any poetry not
yet in my collection, I will add that.

I am interested in a discussion of the expansion of NATO to the
Baltics and more specifically Estonia. I would like dialouge with
someone from this region. I have studied in Scandanavia and have
interests in this region as well as basic knowledge on the EU and NATO,
but would like to expand my horizons. If you can be of any assistance or
feel as though I could aid you please e-mail me: sbarrett@post.smu.edu

Subject: Re: grant information...
Hello...
I am contacting you on behalf of my father, Robert DiDomenica. He is an
important American composer who has had his opera, "The Balcony",
performed in The Bolshoi in Moscow. This is only one of two American
operas EVER performed there. The other was "Porgi and Bess."
He is interested in obtaining a grant to bring another opera,
"The Scarlet Letter" to Russia. Is there any grants available from
your organization, or do you know where I can look on the Internet
(or elsewhere)??? He currently has interest from Sarah Cauldwell
of The Opera Company of Boston in this project. For more information:
The Music of Robert DiDomenica
http://www.masterweb.com/opera/
I set up this Web site for him. :)
Take care,
Claude DiDomenica

Subject: kastales (fwd)
My mother (Betty S. Goldberg) has written three cookbooks but was recently
stumped by someone asking her about "kastales." These are apparently a russian
pancake (made with parsnips). However, neither my mother
nor myself has been able to find any reference to this dish. Does anyone
know exactly what "kastales" refers to and where I could get more
information on
the food?

Subject: e-mail in Moscow
Hello, I am Mark Gentle, a student at the Univ. of Okla.
I have a girlfiend in Moscow, and I would like to use e-mail to
communicate to her(as you know the Russian post takes weeks). I will visit
her in December before I return to school.
Could you help me in this way: I need to find an individual, school,
or organization that she could use as a means of access to the internet(and
to me!).
Please contact me. I will have an e-mail account in the future, but I am
sorry that I do not have one presently. I will give my e-mail address to
you when I get it. For now could you make a labor of love and mail a
letter to:
Mark Gentle 2706 S.W. 62nd Oklahoma City, OK 73159-1617 USA
Thank You and God bless you, and my girl thanks you too. Bye.

Subject: requests
Hello friends,
I have heard alot about Dmitri Volkogonov's three biographies on Stalin,
Trotsky, and Lenin. I am interested in obtaining the biography on Stalin,
and I have been told it is out of print. Can anyone tell me wher I could
possibly find a copy?
I am also interested in reading material on Nickolai Bukharin. Can
anyone direct me toward a biography?
Also, I have seen the HBO movie "Stalin," but have not been able to find
a location from where to purchase it. Can anyone suggest a location?
If anyone can help me with any or all of those requests, please send
your messages to me. Thank you.
