Subject: Correspondance with Russians
Hello,
I'm interested in corresponding with Russian people, either via E-mail or the
postal system (though I've heard that the mail system in Russia is
undependable and American mail "disappears").
I would like to hear about their lives, music, food, etc. and how they feel
about Americans.
I'm new to the internet. If you let me know how I could find people who wish
to correspond with an American I would appreciate it.
Thank you,
Taylor Holmes

Subject: English Language Schools
Dear Friends,
I would like to teach English in the coming academic year in Moscow or
Petersburg, but would also consider other cities in Russia. I am looking
for the addresses (e-mail or fax numbers best) of language schools which
use the latest principles to teach English to adults.
I have a graduate certificate (post-graduate) to teach ESL/EFL and one
year experience teaching in Russia.
If you have any information regarding the above or know of anyone who
could help, I would greatly appreciate your reply.
Thank you.

Subject: (no subject)
Greetings,
My name is Lisa Smith and I've been visiting your page on and off for some
time now. I live and work in Moscow, Russia 10 months of the year where I
coordinate the efforts of an intl. adoption agency there. We've done 170
adoptions over the past 3 years and I enjoy my work there very much. When
we have a homepage for our Russian adoption program I'll sure let you know
the address.
Presently, I'm thinking of buying a small place (condo) here in the states,
to set up a small office here. I'm trying to decide upon the best
location. I have several Russians I plan to bring over who will work in
this office. I debate now on the most "Russian-friendly" location in the
states. Vermont comes to mind. So does Washington DC. I'd appreciate any
suggestion you have on those areas where you think the biggest
concentration of Russian immigrants is, and also where the largest
concentration of Russian-American non-profit organizations is.
Thanks, and I appreciate your page and all your efforts, best wishes,
Lisa Smith

Subject: Independent Educational Software Review
Hi.
I'd like to draw your attention to a new independent Educational Software
Review Service called EdRev from an Australian company called Echidna
House. It provides detailed reviews of educational and home reference
CD-ROM titles for Windows and Mac - currently about 95 titles with more
added monthly. Each review includes detailed descriptions, technical
information and screen clips, and access is by subscription. Might be of
interest to schools/users who don't have a lot of money to spend on
good CD-ROM educational/home reference software.
Check it out at:

Sender: "Sue Mosher" (Sue_Mosher@msn.com)
Subject: Tradename registration in Moscow
Greetings, fellow friends!
I am a freelance computer consultant and writer, moving to Moscow next month
as my husband transfers to his new job there. Even though I usually work
alone, I have been operating under a tradename or "doing business as" (DBA)
name, with company logo and web domain name to match.
Naturally, I want to maintain that identity in my new time zone. Here in the
U.S., all that's required is to register the DBA name with the local
government, usually with the same office that handles business licenses.
I would be interested in hearing from anyone with information about any
similar local requirement in Moscow or any other tips that a freelancer ought
to know about.
Thanks,
Sue
