Subject: lost contact with relatives
Friends -
I tried posting this about 2 weeks ago...but I must have done something wrong
so...I'll try this again.
I need help finding our relatives in Moscow. My husband, Jeffrey
and I visited them about three years ago and communicated for about 1 year
after our visit. Now we do not get letters in return and do not know if they
are getting our letters.
Igor Irteniev is relatively "famous" he is a political satirist and writes
poetry. He has published books and used to appear on TV reciting his satirical
poetry. He is married to Sonya and they have 1 daughter Yana. Yana should be
about 5 now. Sonya is a computer programer, although she was not working
outside of the home at the time we visited (except trying to survive and take
care of Yana).
Their address is: Moscow, yr AKademuKa AHOXUHA gom 38 Kop 3
I apologize for the butchering of the cyrillic, but I do not remember the
translation to english, and I do not have the capabilities to type in
cyrillic.
I would appreciate it if someone could help us communicate with Igor and Sonya.
We would love to find out how they are doing.
Thank you

Subject: Trans-Siberian
Was somebody on this list looking for information about a Trans-Siberian
journey? I just received an advertiser for a publisher named Access Russia (
phone 800-639-4301). They offer two books that may be of interest:
Robert Strauss, The Trans-Siberian Rail Guide, 1993, 275 pp., $16.95
Frith Maier, Trekking in Russia and Central Asia: A Traveler's Guide, 1994,
290 pp., $16.95
The catalog has a number of other interesting and unusual books.
Best wishes!
