APPENDIX: LISTSERV address & basic procedures

----------------------------------------------------------------------

WHAT'S NEW . . .

* David Zlotchenko, a student intern working in the UT Office of Research
Services this summer, has created a very nice resource of Russian greetings
and farewells that allows the user to see and hear several spoken words
and phrases. This is available from the "language" page.

coming soon . . . David has begun work on a Russian cookbook
application which will allow folks to submit via email and by www-based
forms, recipes for a multi-section cookbook. Should be ready by
   mid-August . . .

* A pointer to maps of the CIS countries (from University of Texas) is
now available from the Geography page.

* The presentation given by Natasha and Greg at the recent Global Lecture
Hall teleconference is now available on the World Wide Web server.
   Available from the first page.

We still have a bit of work to do to complete this server but it is
largely ready. Of interest to many will be the audio files provided
by Natasha giving an introduction and conclusion and describing
the purpose and history of this effort.

Coming soon will be a 1-2 minute "video" (in QuickTime format) of
Natasha talking about the F&P project and showing scenes of her
   home city of Pushchino.

* The Spring-94 4.1 issue of GlasNews is now available via a hook from
the "news" page. Description: GlasNews is a quarterly publication on
East-West contacts in all aspects of communications - including
   journalism, telecommunications, photography, opinion research,
   advertising and public relations.

This is an excellent publication edited by Alan Boyle (one of the
F&P subscribers). Thanks to Ellee Margileth for the HTML markup on
   this material.

* "Russia Confidential" news service information is now available from
   the "services" page.

* New issues of "Za Nauku" and RUSAG agriculture listserv publications are
   available from the "science" page.
