Subject: New Technology for food production
A new Food and life system is currently being demonstrated in Virginia(USA)
which increases efficiency of most factors of production from 1-5
times. It is possible to produce beef at about one half the cost and sell
it for twice as much as is done now in the USA. Ethanol can be produced
as a by-product. No Government assistance is necessary.
Anyone wishing more information or becoming involved in this new age
development should contact the following:

Subject: Friends services
Hello Greg:
On April 18, Jinny Husty wondered if there were any lay people in the Friends
and Partners Newsgroup.
Yes, Virginia, there are!
I subscribed for strictly personal reasons. As an Amateur Radio operator, I
have enjoyed the opportunity to communicate directly with counterparts
throughout Russia and the CIS. In a number of cases, those contacts grew into
scheduled events, correspondence, exchanges of photos and gifts, and priceless
friendships.
To a person who grew up with the mistrust and propaganda of the 50's and 60's,
this direct contact has been an eye-opening and emotional experience. My
interest in and admiration for the citizens of Russia and the CIS has grown
considerably, and has led to a continuing series of books and magazines.
Unfortunately, the sunspot cycle is in decline, and with it goes the ability
to maintain those on-the-air schedules. The mail service has been
disappointing and, in one case, I have not received a reply to my letters in
almost two years.
My employment as a University Career Counselor is not likely to result in a
junket to Stavropol any time soon, so I must content myself with armchair
efforts to keep the lines of communication open.
My hope is that this group will show me new ways to retain and improve the
friendships that have come to mean so much. The solar flux numbers will
bottom out, I'm told, in 1996 and reliable communication will not resume until
several years after that. In the meantime, every daily capsule of mail brings
new knowledge and insights.
Thank you for creating and maintaing this group!
