Hello Natasha,
Thank you for such a rapid response to my request for subcription to
Friends and Partners. Your efforts in this direction are similar to Phil
Donahue and Valadamir Posner and I am enthusiastic as you must be. We
live in Bellevue, Washington U.S.A. and My wife and I run a Bed and
Breakfast in which we have visitors from other countries. Two such
visitors were from Russia on April 11,1991 staying for 12 days. It was a
wonderful visit and they told us many interesting things about Russia and
their life there. The name was Alexander Malutin (Sacha) They were both
nuclear fusion specialsts. I hope we might be able to be in contact with
them again sometime. I will be looking forward to hearing from you and
your friends. I have forwarded your message on to other people associated
with Seniornet, which is a group of older people who want to connect to
the computer communications world and many would like to talk to you.
Goodby for now. Cyrus Garnett address:cyclone@eskimo.com

Subject: info on Propaganda posters

I am wondering if anyone has any information on propaganda posters
in the former Soviet Union. Iam currently doing a study of early Cold War
posters as well as Glassnost and Perestroika posters. Any information
regarding collection of posters or resource material would be appreciated.

Thany you in advance for your help.

Subject: scouting

Dear Friends,
I am planning to travel to Siberia this Summer and am interested in
making contact with any World Scouting Movement affiliated groups. I
will be in Tomsk, and Omsk from the middle of May to the first week
in June. My dream is to establish a "brother troop" relationship
between Boy Scouts in Syracuse, NY and Scouts in Siberia, that would
be an ongoing exchange of ideas and friendships. I would be grateful
for any suggestions. Thanks. Please reply directly to me so as not to
clutter up the list. If there is interest from others, I would be glad
to summarize any responses for the list.

Subject: Internet connections in Vladivostok

Hello,
I recently received this address when I made the following post on
Kidsphere:
Dear Kidsphere participants,
.I would like to request help in determining the availability of internet
.access in Vladivostok, Russia. My hometown of Juneau, Alaska is
.involved in a number of cultural, economic, and educational (teacher and
. student) exchanges since Vladivostok and Juneau determined to be
.sister cities.

_________________________^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^__________________________

I went to explain that I have two teacher friends over there right
now and we've found it very difficult to communciate. Mail has taken
a month, phone access has been difficult, and the faxing we have done
is awfully expensive.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
