The Alliance's 10th Annual Conference, celebrating a decade of progress, will occur November 7-10, 1999 in Budapest, Hungary -- a fitting location, since Budapest served as host for the first conference in 1989.

Plans call for on-site conference registration and hotel check-in to begin during the afternoon on Nov. 6 and continue through Nov. 7. The conference hotel will be the four-star Park Flamenco. Please register through AUDEM rather than contacting the hotel. We're delighted to be aided in our stay by long-time AUDEM friend Andras Csegezi, who is now the Maitre'd Hotel at Park Flamenco. With the Park Flamenco's excellent quality -- best ever for AUDEM -- and Andras' careful attention and planning, we're assured an excellent conference experience.

The 1997 conference took place at the Hotel Grand Orbis in Warsaw, Poland, November 2-5, 1997, with the focus of promoting collaborative activities and bilateral agreements between universities and their faculties. Approximately 100 papers on higher education reform were presented, have been issued in a bound volume of proceedings, and will be made available online at this web site as time permits.
